WGSA SPEED TRIKE RULES
LIMITED SPEED TRIKE RULES
1. Speed Trike Length: 48" / 122 cm maximum. Length is measured from axle center to axle center. 2. Speed Trike Width: 42" / 107 cm maximum. 3. Pedals: Not allowed. 4. Brakes: Trike must have a functioning front brake on front wheel. V brake, drum and disc allowed. Disc brakes are preferred. No assemblies that drag the ground for braking are allowed. 5. Wheel Sleeves: NO WHEEL SLEEVES ALLOWED 6. Trike Configuration: Must be trike. One wheel forward two wheels aft. 7. Aerodynamics: No wheel covering and/or fairings allowed. Speed suits not allowed. |
UNLIMITED SPEED TRIKE RULES 1. Speed Trike Length: Unlimited 2. Speed Trike Width: 42" / 107 cm maximum. 3. Pedals: Not allowed. 4. Brakes: Trike must have a functioning front brake. Brakes on all three are preferred V brake, drum, and disc are allowed. Disc brake are HIGHLY recommended because of the higher speeds. No assemblies that drag the ground for braking are allowed. 5. Wheel Sleeves: NO WHEEL SLEEVES ALLOWED in Unlimited Speed Trike class. 6. Trike Configuration: Must be trike, any combo allowed. 7. Any driver/rider position. 8. Aerodynamics: Any aero work allowed. Speed suits allowed. |
