WGSA Longboard Rules & Regulations
general rules
1. Rider must wear a full face helmet.
2. Rider must wear a full protective suit of leather or Kevlar (two piece permitted) protective shoes and gloves.
3. Speed suits are allowed over protective gear.

longboard weight class rules
!. The longboard discipline will host two different weight classes. The classes will be designated as
longboard and longboard LITE.
2. Weigh-ins will be accomplished by the measured weight of the rider only. Safety equipment and/or board
will not be included during the weigh-in.
3. Weight classes as follows: Longboard 150 lbs / 68 kg and greater Longboard LITE less than 150 lbs / 68 kg
4. A WGSA world record attempt run will be eligible for one longboard weight class only.
5. A LITE rider is allowed in run in the 150+, however the rider will be allowed to run in the LITE class following a new weigh-in and notification to timing officials. Note: Only one weight class swap is allowed during a world record event.

4. Max wheel diameter 110 mm / 4.33"
5. No bearing restrictions
6. No mechanical brakes
3. No deck construction material restrictions
4. Max length 48" / 122 cm
5. Max width 12" / 30.5 cm
6. Max Weight 15.4 lbs / 7 kg
7. Weighting of board is permitted. The carrying of ballast on riders body is NOT permitted.
8. No aero work permitted to deck. *The use of any type tape below deck (top of board) is NOT allowed.
Note: The use of any stickers applied to aid in aerodynamics is NOT allowed.

1. Longboard Unlimited will have 4 wheels only
2. Longboard Unlimited must have 2 trucks

7. Max width 12" / 30.5 cm
8. Max weight 22 lbs / 10 kg
9. Weighting of board is permitted. The carrying of ballast on the riders body is NOT permitted.
10. Any aero work is permitted on longboard and/or rider.
11. No helmet design restrictions
