Longboarder Pete Connolly Blasts Thru The 90 MPH Barrier To Set New WGSA World Record And Becomes The Fastest Longboarder in the World
Pete Connolly (GBR) put the longboard society on notice setting the WGSA Longboard world record to over 90 mph! On Saturday, Sept 16 at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente, Pete would post a mind numbing speed of 146.73 km/h 91.17 mph, to set the record and become the fastest of a group of four longboarders to run over 90 mph that weekend. Connolly would become the second member to join the WGSA Longboard 90 Society. This would be the tallest speed of two passes that Pete would make over 90 mph. This would be one of the most incredible performances of the entire event. Pete Connolly is now the fastest man ever to ride a longboard, period! Tim Del (USA) at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente Speed Challenge would set the longboard classic record on fire posting a mind boggling speed of 146.54 km/h 91.05 mph. Let's put that in perspective, Tim was watching 132 feet of real estate passing under him a second! At that speed, Del became the fourth member to join the elite WGSA Longboard 90 Society club that was inaugurated that historic gravity speed weekend. Del has definitely secured a spot in gravity land speed racing history as one of the fastest longboard speed merchants ever. Inde Smashes Unlimited Longboard Record And Goes Over 90 MPH
Anders Inde (SWE) riding an unlimited longboard, would take the WGSA world record to the next level smashing thru the 90 mph barrier at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente Speed Challenge. On Saturday, Anders would blast down the kilometer recording two passes with speeds in excess of 90 mph. Inde's highest speed of 145.94 km/h 90.68 mph would make him the new WGSA Longboard Unlimited World Record holder. Andes also became one of the original Fast Four of the WGSA's Longboard 90 Society that was launched that weekend. Isac Printz Sets WGSA Classic LITE World Record First Time On The Big Hill
Isac Printz (SWE) traveled to Canada's iconic gravity road with one thing on his mind, to GO FAST on his classic longboard. Weighing in at less than 150 lbs / 68 kg, he would be running in the 150- classic longboard division. As a rookie on the hill he spent Friday acclimating to the road upping his speed with each pass. Saturday the race was on with Nikolas Desmarais (CAN) and Matthew Kienzie (CAN) in the hunt for the top LITE speed. Desmarais and Kienzie both ran over 128.74 km/h 80 mph on Run 9. Printz now behind would be forced to go big on his tenth speed run and that he did. Isac would post a speed of 137.05 km/h 85.15 mph! Printz would take the Classic 150- speed for the event and set a new WGSA Longboard Classic LITE world record. The WGSA congratulates Isac Printz on his world record speed achievement. GO FAST

The "PROSSecutor" Crushes Her Previous WGSA World Record And Goes On To Fly Thru The 80 MPH Barrier!
Emily Pross (USA) crushes her previous world record by more than 11.26 km/h 7 mph and becomes the first woman to exceed 80 mph on a longboard. On Sept 16 2017, at the L'Ultime Descente, Emily would ride to a new world record posting a speed of 135.00 km/h 83.88 mph! Not only would she run in the 80's once, the next pass she would post a speed of 131.70 km/h 81.83 mph! Now that has soaked in, Emily has posted the fastest speed ever recorded for a women's wheeled gravity vehicle. Pross has proven she is the fastest women's longboarder in gravity speed racing history, once again! These phenomenal performances would solidify her as one of the greatest longboarders of all time.
