Cedric Touchette (CAN)     126.31 km/h   78.48 mph  2017

Touchette Raises The Bar For Stock Speed Bike NF And Makes The Fastest Pass In GBike History!

Cedric Touchette (CAN), one of gravity land speed racing's true legends, once held the street luge world record from 2008 to 2016 that he set on the Canadian hill.  He was now back at the same hill going after another class record.  Touchette, riding a Stock Speed Bike NF (non-faired) would set a new WGSA world record at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente. This was Touchette's  debut in the gravity speed bike arena.  Cedric had no problems on riding two wheels to a top speed of 126.31 km/h 78.48 mph.  Not only would he claim a new WGSA class record, this was the fastest officially clocked speed for a gravity speed bike!  Congratulations to Cedric Touchette for his incredible WGSA world record and being the world's fastest man on a gravity bike!                                               GO FAST

Schroeder Rides His Gravity Speed Bike Setting A New Gravity Speed Bike Record!

Cyril Schroeder (FRA/CAN) at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente rode his Stock Speed Bike F (faired) to a new WGSA world record stopping the timers and recording a speed of 125.43 km/h 77.93 mph.  Cyril recorded this speed by using just mild aero work installed between the wheels.  Schroeder made the switch to the faired stock speed bike class this year after setting a non-faired world record at last years 2016 event.  Having set two world records in two different classes Schroeder has made his mark in the gravity land speed world as one of the speed bike greats.  The WGSA congratulates Cyril Schroeder on his new WGSA world record and his outstanding performances.                                                                                                                                                                       GO FAST

Janson Sets The Bar For Unlimited Speed Bike NF Class

Paul Janson (SCO) shipped his gravity speed bike all the way over the pond from Scotland on a mission to set two WGSA world records.  And he would do just that.  This would be Paul's first time on Quebec's monster hill.  He would be riding a naked chassis running in the WGSA Unlimited Speed Bike NF (non-faired) class.  Janson, no stranger to speed, would go on to set the bar and the new WGSA world record posting a speed of 114.77 km/h 71.31 mph.  This would be one of two WGSA world records Paul would set at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente Speed Challenge!  The WGSA congratulates Paul Janson on his outstanding achievement and new WGSA world record.                                                                                                                                                                           GO  FAST

Paul Janson Sets WGSA Unlimited Speed Bike F World Record And Breaks Garlands 19 Year Old Speed Record!

Paul Janson (SCO) sets another WGSA world record at the 2017 L'Ultime Descente Speed Challenge. Paul now riding with his gravity speed bike all dressed up and faired, on his record speed attempt he would post a speed of 114.28 km/h 71.01 mph.  This speed recording would eclipse Dwight Garlands record of 103.03 km/h 64.20 mph set 19 years ago and set the new world record for the WGSA Unlimited Speed Bike F (faired) class.  Paul had commented that the cross-winds had kept him from reaching the bikes true speed potential.  Janson would also become  the first racer to set two separate WGSA class world records on the same day at this event. Congratulations Paul from all of us at the WGSA on your world records, and outstanding speed accomplishments.  GO FAST
